Context

Mashreq Bank is one of the UAE's oldest and most respected financial institutions, headquartered in Dubai. The Global Transaction Services division manages corporate and investment banking relationships across the Gulf region. The GTS Handbook was commissioned as a premium publication to articulate the bank's full transaction services offering to high-value corporate clients — carrying both financial authority and visual sophistication in equal measure.

The Brief

As lead creative on the CX Unicorn engagement, I was briefed to design a comprehensive corporate handbook from scratch — covering the full scope of Mashreq's GTS division. The publication needed to feel premium and authoritative while remaining visually engaging for C-suite readers across the Gulf. Every element — from cover to final page — was conceived, designed, and delivered by me alone.

Process

The project began with content structuring — mapping the bank's service offerings into a logical narrative across 60+ pages. From there I developed the typographic system, colour palette, and grid architecture that carried the publication consistently throughout. Multiple cover directions were explored before landing on the final design, balancing Mashreq's established brand identity with a contemporary visual approach befitting a global transaction bank.

The Craft

Every spread was designed with the reader's journey in mind — from the welcome note layout through to the infographic timeline visualising the bank's landmark projects and milestones. The infographic design required translating complex financial and geographic data into clean, digestible visuals without losing accuracy or authority. Typography was set with precision — body copy, callout quotes, data tables and headers each carrying a distinct but cohesive visual weight.

Outcome

The completed GTS Handbook was distributed to Mashreq Bank's corporate and institutional clients across the Gulf region, serving as a primary business development tool for the GTS division. The publication successfully positioned Mashreq's transaction services as a premium, full-service offering — delivered on time, to specification, and to the highest print production standards.
