Teefare is a ride-hailing mobility startup built for the Lagos market, offering a "ride now, pay later" model designed to make daily commuting more accessible. As an early-stage startup entering a competitive mobility space already dominated by global players, Teefare needed a brand identity that felt trustworthy, modern, and distinctly its own from day one.
As Design Team Lead on this freelance engagement, I led the development of Teefare's complete brand identity from the ground up — logo, colour system, typography, and visual language — and directed the extension of the identity into the product itself through a thorough UI/UX design process for the web and mobile app, alongside core brand collateral and stationery, in collaboration with the design team.
The identity began with the name itself — exploring how "T" and "F" could combine into a single, ownable mark that felt both technological and approachable. Multiple logo directions were explored before arriving at a clean, geometric monogram that works equally well as an app icon and a brand mark. A cool blue palette was selected to signal trust and reliability — essential for a service built around financial flexibility and daily transport.
With the core identity established, the system was extended into the product — designing the app's onboarding and ride-booking screens with the same visual language as the brand mark, ensuring a seamless experience from first impression to daily use. The identity was also applied across stationery and brand collateral, giving Teefare a presentation-ready system for investor decks, partnerships, and early marketing.
Beyond individual screens, I developed a complete design system for Teefare — a documented colour palette, typographic scale, and component library covering buttons, forms, and interactive states. This system ensures consistency as the product evolves, allows future designers and developers to build on a solid foundation, and reflects the systems-thinking approach I bring to every digital product engagement.
Teefare launched with a complete, cohesive brand system spanning logo, app UI, and collateral — giving the startup a professional, investor-ready visual identity from day one. The project reflects a growing part of my practice: helping early-stage founders build brands that can scale, while staying hands-on across both brand strategy and product design.
